John Caracuzzo and David Lores recently received the honor of having one of the top jury verdicts in Florida.
They were recognized by the ALM Top Florida Verdicts of 2014 as published in the Daily Business Review. The case arose out of an automobile accident, where our client sustained a neck and shoulder injury, which ultimately required her to have neck surgery. The Defense vigorously argued that the damage to Plaintiff’s vehicle was minimal and that the surgery was not causally related to the accident.
Mr. Caracuzzo and Mr. Lores were able to successfully overcome these arguments by presenting evidence that our client had no previous problems with her neck and shoulder and by presenting expert testimony that the her injury and the surgery were caused by the accident. The jury was persuaded by these arguments and returned a verdict in our client’s favor.
