David M. Lores
The youngest of five children, was born and raised in Palm Beach County
Biography
He attended Broward Community College and Palm Beach Community College, where he played baseball before deciding to focus his efforts on pursuing his dream of becoming an attorney.
David continued his studies at the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While attending the University of Florida, he was a member of the Pre-Legal Honor Society, where he prepared for law school and participated in many charitable activities. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Thomas Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
David has been a member of the Florida Bar since the year 2000. He began his career as an Assistant Public Defender. As a public defender, David thrived on fighting for those who could not afford private legal representation. In the process, he attained valuable trial and appellate experience. He brought that experience to Keller, Keller, Caracuzzo, Cox & Belluccio in 2002; but his connection with the firm actually dates back to 1988, when he was an Executive Intern for the firm formally known as Keller & Keroff.
While working at Keller, Keller, Caracuzzo, Cox & Belluccio, David has helped hundreds of individuals receive much needed compensation for injuries sustained. He specializes in cases involving wrongful death, automobile negligence, premises liability, negligent security, products liability, dog bite, and individual negligence.
Over the years, David has shown the ability to obtain significant settlements for clients in a wide array of cases. For example, one of his cases, a wrongful death/product liability case, settled for a confidential seven-figure amount. In another case, he wrote an appeal which successfully persuaded the Fourth District Court of Appeal to overturn a circuit court decision, which ultimately resulted in a six-figure settlement for his client. Further, in a Personal Injury Protection case, David vigorously litigated the case up until the eve of trial, which resulted in the largest settlement of such a case in the firm’s history. Additionally, he also obtained a significant six-figure settlement in the firm’s first ever snow skier negligence case.
David’s versatility makes him a valuable member of the team at Keller, Keller, Caracuzzo, Cox & Belluccio, P.A. In addition to his trial, appellate and negotiation skills, David is bilingual. He represents many of the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients; providing them with excellent representation while making them feel comfortable by communicating with them in their native language. Additionally, David is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida; where he has handled many Federal cases for the firm.
In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys golfing, surfing and snow skiing.
