W. Ellis Petit
W. Ellis Petit originally joined the firm in 2002 in various capacities and now as an associate. He focuses his practice on helping the injured in the community and throughout Florida.
Although Mr. Petit has roots in the immediate community, his parents migrated to Palm Beach County from Haiti when he was three years old. He attended and graduated from Lake Worth High School.
Following his high school tenure, Ellis attended South Technical Educational Center and completed training as an emergency medical technician and a firefighter. After that, he trained at Palm Beach Community College as a Paramedic. As a paramedic, Ellis worked for the City of Lake Worth Fire Resuce, St. Lucie County Fire District and lastly Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
His career as a Paramedic lasted five years, after which he completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Florida. Mr. Petit attended Southern University Law Center, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received his Juris Doctor.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his son, Ethan, traveling, reading, and enjoying the South Florida amenities. Currently, he is a volunteer member Guardian ad Litem program of the 15th Judicial Circuit, which supervises and mentors neglected and abused children.
