Biography
Steven joined the firm after seven years of working in the insurance defense industry with a prominent Florida insurance defense firm and a national firm. His practice involved the areas of General Liability, Premises Liability, Trucking & Transportation, Products Liability, Wrongful Death, Negligence Security Cases, and consumer automobile claims. Steven offers our clients vast experience in dealing with insurance companies and evaluating claims.
Steven now practices exclusively in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, automobile accidents, premises liability, and products liability.
Steven began his career at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s where he was a prosecutor for over six years gaining valuable trial experience during that time. Steven prosecuted numerous cases in the County Court Division, Felony Trial Unit, and Major Violent Crimes Division-Traffic Homicide Division. Steven was the Deputy Chief of County Court who was responsible for six county court divisions, certified legal interns, special prosecutors, and training new attorneys and law enforcement. In 2009, Steven received an award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his outstanding work in the prosecution of DUI cases.
Steven attended Stetson University College of Law, where he was a member of the nationally ranked Stetson Trial Team. Upon graduation in 2005, Mr. Kay was the recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Steven obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2002 and is an avid supporter of Gator football.
