Biography
Jonathan Cox is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, the highest level of recognition for attorney competency and experience. Board Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar and is an accomplishment based on Jonathan’s extensive legal knowledge, skills and jury trial experience. Only a small percentage of lawyers in Florida are Board Certified.
Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a prosecutor for the Palm Beach County State Attorneys’ Office where he prosecuted crimes ranging from DUI to murder. In 2003 he earned the State Attorney’s Award for Dedicated Service. After leaving the State Attorneys’ Office, Jonathan went to work for a large State-wide insurance defense firm where he became a partner. His experience with the insurance industry allows him to provide his clients with a unique perspective and significant understanding of how insurance companies defend and evaluate claims. In his distinguished career as an attorney, Jonathan has tried well over 100 jury trials.
Jonathan graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law. He obtained his undergraduate degree in political science from Colby College in Maine. He lives with wife and two daughters in Palm Beach Gardens.
