The latest example is the State Employees’ Charitable Campaign, the topic of a report by Auditor General Sherrill Norman last week. The auditors confirmed pretty much what Democrat senior writer Jeff Burlew reported a few months ago – that DMS had contracted with a New Jersey firm, Solix Grant Management Solutions, to pass the hat among state employees for a wide range of charities, and wound up paying the company more than the charities netted.
